About The Storage Hub

Self storage is used to describe ‘self-service storage’. At The Storage Hub we have secure unit spaces of 25ft2, 50ft2 75ft2 , 100ft2 , 150ft2 , 200ft2 , 300ft2  These are available for domestic and commercial use that you can rent on a short or long-term basis to securely store your possessions in.

We always aim to make the storage process as quick, simple and flexible as possible for both personal and business customers.

The key stages to storing with us are:

• Step 1 - Find out what size unit you need - you can get a feel for what size unit you will need by working out what size vehicle will be used
• Step 2 - Visit The Storage Hub and review the facilities and confirm that the storage unit will be suitable
• Step 3 - Book the storage unit whilst you are onsite or book online
• Step 4 - On moving in day, arrive at the store with your ID. Complete your check-in paperwork (or fill it in it online in advance) and sign your Storage Licence Agreement, then move in your items.
• Step 5 - Use The Storage Hub secure storage for as long as you need on a monthly rolling basis.
• Step 6 - When you’re ready to move out, simply give us the agreed amount of notice, before leaving your unit clean and empty.

We accept most major credit and debit cards apart from American Express or Diners Club. Unfortunately, we can’t accept cash payments for any of our services.

The Storage Hub is open

You can access your unit anytime during these hours as you have your own access fob or QR code

We don’t open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day or Easter Sunday, but the Storage hub is open from 10.00-16.00 on all other bank holidays

This is dependent on the amount and type of items you’d like to store. We offer storage units from 25ft2 to 300ft2. Check out out storage unit size page for some indicative sizing information or contact and visit the Storage hub where our fully trained team members will be able to help you choose the right unit size for you. Importantly not all the units at The Storage Hub are exactly the same height / format. The price of each unit depends on its square footage.

The average height is 8ft, although we have units that are higher. Importantly not all the units at The Storage Hub are exactly the same height / forma so  please contact The Storage Hub for more information.

No. You are welcome to assemble a racking unit within your storage unit

Yes. Your freezer, fridge or fridge/freezer needs to have been emptied, throroughly cleaned, turned off and de-iced, before you can store it on site. For health and safety reasons, operational white goods are allowed on site.

Food can be stored in sealed tins. Drinks can be stored in unopened manufacturers’ bottling containers.

The following items cannot be stored unless previously agreed with us in writing:

• Aerosol cans
• Cash or securities
• Explosives
• Firearms or ammunitions
• Gas canisters
• Hazardous or toxic products
• High value or extremely precious goods
• Illegal goods
• Live animals or plants
• Pollutants, contaminated goods or waste
• Perishable goods
• Radioactive goods

Yes. Once you have moved in you can access your unit as often as required

No. This could be hazardous for you and other customers and is not part of your storage licence agreement

Security is paramount at The Storage hub. Alongside 24 hour digital CCTV, we use two alarm systems (one for the building plus one for your individual unit) and coded electronic access with individual PIN codes, 

The Storage Hub is fitted with fire and smoke detection systems.

For security reasons, only you are permitted access to your unit. Along with your PIN code for your unit’s keypad, a padlock adds an extra level of security and enables you to give access to friends, relatives or colleagues as you choose. 

Important for friends / colleagues to legally gain access, they must be registered to your account first.

As the Storage Licence Agreement is in your name, you are the PIN holder and sole person with access to your unit. However, you can add named family members, friends or colleagues to your account if you would like to share your PIN, access codes and padlock keys with them.

Yes 

Insurance of your goods is a requirement under The Storage Hub Terms and Conditions. In fact all companies operating within the self storage sector require it. Please note that the insurance cover you take out must reflect the true value of the items being stored.

Payments for self storage are taken in advance, just as in the same way that advanced payments are taken for property rental. 

The advantage of this is that we don’t need to carry out credit checks on you. 

Depending on the payment plan you are on, you may be due a refund if you move out before the end of the month you’ve paid for.

Yes. If you are a VAT registered company, you can claim VAT back. Please contact HMRC for further information.
